India Job Offer Comparison Deloitte vs Oracle

Asking for a friend. Got these job offers and need to decide soon which one to join. Any advice from folks who have first hand knowledge from these companies would be helpful. 1. Oracle India Offer: Compensation 15 LPA + 10% bonus. Mostly remote work. Work would be for Oracle Middle Eastern country clients. 2. Deloitte India Offer: Compensation 15.5 LPA + 10% bonus and 1L joining bonus. Because of negotiating, they added joining bonus. Also, remote work and would be for Deloitte clients. Which company of these are good for long term career growth and work life balance ?? No trolls please. Any insights would be helpful. Experience: Around 5 years #tech #offer

How is this even a question? Oracle is a software company. Deloitte is a financial consultancy. Which one, do you think, values software engineers more?

From what I understand, even Oracle India is providing a software service based role (Common in India) and won't have pure product engineering role. And Deloitte also gives similar service based role to Software Engineers. Not sure of their culture though.

Deloitte has a bad culture. Oracle is a better brand Pay is same, i don't see any motivation joining Deloitte.

+1. Culture is absolutely crap. You would love it if you love doing activities other than work ( all the CSR/PR that makes the firm look good).

Is this OFSS (Oracle Financial Services) ? Which entity, can you please ask friend to check ? Because OFSS does a lot of work for the middle eastern banks in terms of deployment / service.

Hmm.. Deloitte swe's are happy because they get to work remotely a lot and it's chill. For a swe perspective, Oracle is better because of the brand name and your friend might get some good work in a different team. Not bad after all. As the above comment suggests, do check if it's a subsidiary of Oracle?
