"During the setup process for Business Profiles we display this information, remind people that it will be accessible to others, and allow them to update or remove the information." But hey, don't let facts come in the way of hate train!
And you default all users share their email address they use to register the account, unless they hit the tiny line at the bottom of the page so they can jump to another page to change the contact info. And it is only CHANGE. They can never switch to a buz account unless they provide an email address. Good job
I tested the process with my own account, switching to buz and back to personal. Exposure of info a user use to register the account equals to open the user to risk of phishing, spam, etc. Ridiculous, do you guys ever think about security and privacy when you ship new features?
Never, a couple of months ago there was a scandal how they had users’ passwords stored in plain text 🤣
Big fat nothingburger. Once again, media spin to generate page clicks and engagement.
It was chosen to share you idiot. READ THE ARTICLE
Ok ok. I got time to reply since it’s weekend. 1) I found my UI changed today and there is a little button to let me send emails/call when I browse others profiles, including both big influencers and my friends. 2) I sample one of my friends who I can send email to and cross check with her whether you set your email address as public visible. The answer is no. So her email info should definitely be PRIVATE. 3) then I did some research, found this article and shocked. 4) don’t call anyone idiot when you know nothing
You dont understand basic concepts. I cannot say anything else to you. Goodluck with what you do lol.
