How long does the recruitment process at Intel take for external hiring? Got a yes from Hiring Manager for a experienced position. Background check has been initiated by the Recruiter. He says waiting for immigration clearance. Haven’t heard anything on the compensation etc..!! I.E. haven’t received an official offer letter. The process is not very transparent.
Intel is very careful with export controls for candidates of certain nationalities. I have seen some Chinese candidates take over 4-5 months to get cleared. HR will follow the process regardless of the criticality of the role. So lot of variables... Since you need immigration clearance I assume you also need export clearances. Good luck!
It took me 3 weeks. Really depends on how proactive your to-be manager is! Non-citizen here.
Call yo your manager and ask... He can help hurry things if they're stuck inside Intel or lawyers. But if it's in the government, you willt just have to wait.
Same situation! How many months did they take?
I think it took me over a month for them to get from "we intend to hire you" to an initial offer… it was very unimpressive.
It took me almost 4 months. US citizen here
