This is for anyone who’s at Intel or who’s got an offer from Intel recently ? I recently finished three rounds of interview for Software Engineer role at Intel Folsom. The hiring manager setup call at the end of it, explaining to me that the team gave a good feedback and they would want extend an offer. After 1 week I received a background check request followed by immigration questionnaire email. I haven’t received the formal offer letter yet. And there is no recruitment co-ordinator overseeing this. Is this standard process at Intel ? At what point do they actually send out official offer ? #intel #intelcareers #intelgraphics #swe
At Intel, official offer is provided or number will be discussed when the HR team gets a positive response from Legal and background check. You going through these process is a good sign, so hang in there and in about 1-2 week time you will receive an offer, meanwhile do your research and have your numbers ready.
Thanks for your reply. I have a feeling that the a HR hasn’t reached out to me yet for this reason(background checks). Meanwhile is it good idea to share immigration docs while you’re still interviewing elsewhere ? That’s my concern.
Yes, you can share your documents. They validate your H1 status and GC status etc. Fragomen are notoriously slow to prepare docs to apply for H1 transfer. So by sharing now, they will have the docs ready to file H1 transfer once you get and accept an offer from Intel HR which might be 1-3 weeks from now.
Did you eventually get the offer? If yes, how long did it take?
I got the offer. I got it after two weeks from the verbal offer.
It’s good to know that. Did you provide only the immigration questionnaire or also other additional documents like EAD?
I'm not interviewing for Intel so can't say for sure.. Did you try asking the hiring manager? I don't think there shood be any issue asking after they already told you they want to hire you.
I did ask the HM about this and the only thing he said was the HR should reach out to you. And so far I haven’t had any hr reach out to me yet, just got these automated emails.
Got it. If you're under pressure you can always say you have another offer you need to respond to. That'll get them moving
