Intercom vs Amazon
My friend is working in serviceNow and have two job offers. One form Amazon and other from Intercom. Intercom offers PE3 with 90K € base + 10K € joining bonus + 5K units of stock( vested over 4 years) Amazon offering L5 with 100K€ base + 36K€ joining bonus( distributed over 2 years) + 75K$ stock( distributed over 4 years) Which one to join and why?
Both offers are from Dublin, Ireland. It's AWS networking team in Amazon
I think AWS will be better in terms of recognition, will get interviews much easier and also you'll get better at using bunch of AWS services. In terms of compensation Intercom might be better as it is a pre IPO company, also seems to get good reviews.
Is Intercom going to IPO anytime soon?
Agreed. Use Amazon offer to bump up Intercom offer. We are lenient in going over the bands for good candidates
Agreed. Intercom has aggressive hiring targets as they prep for an IPO in <2 yrs
How high would intercom normally go for a PE3 offer you think?
Amazon would be a better long term bet imo. You can ALWAYS join a startup.

How's the morale inside intercom about the company's progress and IPO situation?
What is each share at intercom worth? Are they giving RSUs or Stock options?
What location? And what team in Amazon?
