After nearly five years at Amazon I am looking to move on. I see a ton of open non-tech/program management roles at Expedia, and was a bit surprised at how many open positions the company has. I'm interested in applying, but want to understand from anyone currently at Expedia if they think this is a safe time to apply or if you anticipate layoffs. I've read a decent amount about company culture (which, overall, seems positive), but happy to hear more about how much you enjoy working there. TC: $180 YOE: 10 #expedia #expediagroup
I am very happy here, colleagues are super friendly and I appreciate my boss doesn’t take my hard work for granted. But TC might be lower than Amazon.
+1. Life is not bad in non-tech. We don't innovate much, but people support one another, and many work hard. Work life balance is real.

Commenting to see if anyone who can see into the future can tell me this week’s lottery numbers as well.
He’s asking what the general vibes are there, stop being an asshole
You should be able to have a rough sense if your company appears stable/safe or not. For example if you are rescinding offers, freezing hiring in certain departments, teams are being laid off, etc. This doesn't require a crystal ball.
