I have 50k in cash and want to invest in either Google or Amazon. Which company would you pick and why? PS: I dont want to invest in index fund.
None - Invest in S&P500 instead
Split
Index fund
Amazon. The stock is undervalued now.
Still a very high P/E ratio
Why not apple? It’s as good as cash. The recession has barely effected them in any way
That is the point. It hasn’t fallen much so likely upside is less. If Amazon can get it’s retail to make some profit or at minimum break even, then just AWS and Ads are worth more than the current market cap. So upset with Amazon is lot more.
That's my strategy for now. Buying companies that were hit hard in the last year, so upside is higher(in theory). I might be wrong, but i am willing to risk
Neither. Growth stocks in previous bull run will not have same momentum going forward. Like Sony, IBM from the past. Pick upcoming companies like DDOG, ZS, NET etc. My personal pick is NET.
Sony and IBM are not even close to Amazon… AWS still growing 25%+
NET? Cloud flare ? They have lost over 75% this year..
Heard about QQQ?
TQQQ
Not till the bottom is reached. And don’t think anyone can accurately say when.
Imagine investing that much in an individual company… correct answer is index fund
