I have an interview scheduled with Grubhub. I heard that they just had layoffs in June. Appreciate if any one from Grubhub can share insights.
No. Us and doordash are slowly squeezing grubhub out of business
Dream on
Grubhub is at <10% of market share and shrinking
No, it's a train wreck
Place sucks. Been here for a bit, didn’t get laid off. Going down with the ship but after the layoffs and no innovation from multiple all hands. It looks like they are prepping for end of the year sale.
Tech org is understaffed. We have had layoffs (15% of the company), but none in tech. Anybody who is predicting the future of the company or the whole delivery sector, is lying to themselves and others. Do I know what will happen? Nope. But neither do others. Also, wlb and quality of work is highly team dependent. Tell us which team you're joining, and we might be able to help
Absolutely not... unless you like revolving doors.
as someone who sees the numbers, can verify that marketshare just keeps slipping, likely be closer to 5% than 10% by EOY
Are you accounting for the fact that the entire market is shrinking therefore market share not necessarily going down? A recent Bloomberg report said we went up from 9% to 10%. (Search twitter for $tkwy if you want to find it)
Why would you want to go to that dumpster?
The place is a shitshow
It is a fine place, who knows what will happen anywhere. Good WLB and growth/learning opportunities. Decent pay. Not FAANG but better than most in non Bay Area. Half day Fridays. People whose stock grants are down 80% are mad (understandably), if you joined recently not so bad.
