Got an email from Pinterest recruiter for a Senior engineering role. I am not actively looking for new jobs now, but still curious why this could happen: they just had a layoff and there are so many good laid off talents on the market now. Any Pinterest employee care to elaborate? #pinterest
I would try if I am not on visa or debt. Otherwise I would not
Roles that were vacated for performance reasons are being hired for. Plus, any critical roles. I’d be worried to jump ship if I had a stable job anywhere in tech right now, but I would lean towards PINS being more stable than average. We laid off fewer positions than our peers and it has been less chaotic than say Amazon.
Can I dm re: pins
most toxic company. i would avoid if i were you
Lmao. Not even close, but yea..not really the positive bastion that it claims to be.
As a hiring manager for a role at Pins we are looking to hire for some key positions. Some of folks let go were for perf or their skill sets didn’t match.
How do you guys make money? There can’t be that many bored moms in the US
Yeah, we could use more bored mums. Too many dumbshit like you on Tiktok
To be honest at this stage of your career in these circumstances Never blow yourself

1 vs 5 Million - no lifestyle change
Very risky to join right now. Wouldn’t recommend leaving a secure job at this time, wait and risk off for a few months and then jump.
Are they doing hire to fire?
Of course not, but they are changing business priorities on a whim. Basically all is fair and a no holds barred kind of a situation.
