Is amazon doing layoffs again?

Saw a LinkedIn post by a guy that said “Hello everyone, Unfortunately, I was impacted by the #amazonlayoffs and my role has been eliminated. I would never have imagined that I'd be making a post like this less than a year into my career yet here we are. The news is extremely shocking and disappointing and it's turned my life upside down overnight. I joined #amazon as SDE-1 in the #lastmiledelivery team. Although my tenure was relatively short, I'm extremely grateful for the chance to learn and work with some incredible engineers and managers building next-generation experience for Amazon. It indeed was worth being my dream company. I am actively looking for SDE positions and would really request my LinkedIn community to help me find one.
