Is there such a position as Data Engineer...
...in Google, Facebook, etc. and is the interview process any different (read easier on DSA) for such a role? Here at microsoft I’ve only seen 2 interviewing strategies: one for data scientists and the other for all engineers. I’m competent with LC easy and medium and occasional hard questions. But I’ve got much more experience working with Hadoop, Spark and the like. So was wondering if I can leverage that somehow by applying to specific roles. TC 210k, L63
Data Engineer is a standard role at Facebook. I don’t know specific about interviews though. Data engineers work on data processing (eg data pipelines, data logging), building dashboards and some analytical work as well. They are kind of mix between DS and Eng but stronger on Eng side.
