Wondering how many people pick partner from same religion And not looking for catholic vs baptism nor castes
I believe in fairies and my partner believes in unicorns
Define different religions. Are you talking Baptist versus Catholic or something more along the lines of Muslim and Christian?
I think he/she is talking about different castes in India.
I think OP is talking about different religion Muslim, Christian ह , hindu etc
I am athiest and liberal. My wife was born again Christian Republican. She is now liberal and less religious. She misses the certitude of her old ways but also appreciates being woke.
I actually went the opposite way! I became more interested in spiritual ways and closer to libertarian with stronger conservative leanings- far far away from my initial liberal socialist approach!
Was that because of your partner?
My partner is a religious Christian, and I am Jewish. We’ve discussed how to handle with kids and ultimately have an agreement we both are satisfied with. While I’m not religious, we did have a traditional Jewish wedding based on the Jewish laws. He felt his god doesn’t care about the wedding type, only the agreement matters, while being part of Jewish culture and tradition is very important to me.
Great that things worked out for you. Would you mind sharing what agreement you reached wrt to kids? Might help those of us negotiating a similar situation, thanks
On a similar situation and our deal was to keep the kids out of organized religious stuff of any kind until they're old enough to make up their own mind. But I was as likely to describe myself as agnostic as nonpracticing Jewish back when we got married and my wife is mostly only Catholic when her parents (these days just her Mom) are looking.
Well it was a bit rough going at first being a devout worshiper of Paimon when I first met my Jehovah’s witness spouse. But a few quick blood rituals and summonings and we finally agreed a wedding under the stars of a thousand years of darkness was for us.
I am Hindu. She is parsi. But we both believe in Kama dev. https://www.quora.com/Who-is-Kamdev
Both of us believe in Chinese communist party
I'm Pastafarian and my wife is Christian. We both love lasagna.
I'm Jewish (and half assed about it, having spent most of my life outright non practicing.) My wife is Catholic (and very half assed about it.) My daughter has expressed some interest in both religions, my son has zero interest in either

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
My partner is Jewish and I am atheist and we get along very very well.
Wait until the kids are an issue
We already discussed about this topic , kids will raise as Jewish and when they are old enough ( like 15 years) I will educate them why I am an atheist and after that it’s up to them.
