It happened, I got laid off from G
My org got the axe. There's lots of talented folks that just got let go. And I felt relatively safe during this whole downturn. It especially burns that I had a fast trajectory as a SWE (L3 -> L4 in 1.5yr, and L4 -> L5 in 1.5yr) and just got my promo, and don't get any time to enjoy it. Now I'm hoping there's still positions out there, since it's not an ideal time to be job searching. Edit: Not on Visa. Edit 2: No, I didn't get support check-in, why would I right after promo? They went by org/product not by performance (in our case).
