Does J.P. have a salary range tool for each position, as per geography? I’m trying to figure out the salary range for marketing VP positions (@8-10 yrs experience)
TC or GTFO
A VP probably making < 200k
I’ve never seen a salary range tool at JPMC, even as a hiring manager. From what I understand, VPs start at 118k base and then it progresses from there based on seniority within the VP bands. Pay isn’t very transparent at JPMC though, so I could be off-track with this.
Is that $118k including bonus or just salary? My salary is like $99,999 plus bonus which was $15k this last year. I feel I'm underpaid for what I do, so I'm always interested in understanding what the "range" is.
Ah ok. Thanks. I am shooting for $135K-$145K...so just wanted to ensure I’m not way off the mark. I’ll ask the recruiter anyway what the range is. Hopefully they’ll answer.
VP salary ranges also differ wildly between job families and LOB - e.g. project execution in CCB caps out around ~130 base in a low CoL area, whereas engineering VP in AWM could be up to 160 in the same CoL
Yea...same at Amex but I’m in NYC and in marketing
It must vary widely, in product low cost of living, my base is 165k
Product management or product marketing?
Product Management
Wait I thought Vice Presidents make shit tons of money??
Depends on the level of seniority within the hierarchy. It doesn’t mean the same thing at every org. VP is essentially the same as a senior manager in most orgs like JPMG, Citi, BOA, etc. At Amex it’s a senior role above a manager and director.
Gotcha. Maybe I'm just used to seeing FAANG salaries, seemed a little less comparatively
I recently joined as a VP with ~5-6 years of experience. Base is 165K
Which city?
I think the salary range is anywhere from $0 to $2MM... Give or take.
Oh come on, we’re supposed to be helping each other on here.
I know. It's just that the range varies so wide not just geographically, but also per LOB. Most VPs I know make between $100-200k.
