Does anyone have any idea for Managing Director Salaries. I am in final round of interview with them and need to talk salary expectations. I have already looked at Level.fyi and Glassdoor but there is not not much data on those site. Current Comp (TC: 422.5k) Base: 250K Bonus: 62.5K Stocks: 110k/year Yoe: 10 #tech #jpmorganchase #jpmorgan #productmanagement #product
Managing director at 10 yoe !! What line of business ? Did you mean executive director instead ?
No, Managing Director, Product Management
This is highly suspicious lol This person would need to be an absolute ROCKSTAR with incredible luck to be able to be interviewed for an MD role at JP with that YOE
When I worked there (2015ish) my MD’s salary was around $450K. This was in Dallas, though. I imagine compensation varies wildly depending on line of business.
Oh cool, the position is remote and I am based in Seattle.
Jesus Christ how are you making md at 10 yoe?
I am currently at Director of Product at a tech company, JPMC reached out to me for this position. I was a little surprised too but they mentioned that they liked my previous experience in product management.
Take it if you are able to get it. Md is the highest title at jpmc. You will most likely be the youngest md in your part of the company. Average age is 40-45
Back office roles 600ish TC. Front office tech 1m+. Honestly there's so much variation it's really hard to put any firm numbers.
what’s the difference between front and back offices?
Front office directly generates revenue e.g markets, M&A, Wealth Management. Back office Operations, Tech etc. not client facing and not generating revenue.
What I know - MCOL, 225 base + 50% - 100% bonus. CCB back office I would assume it’s similar to Tech in similar COL/roles
This looks low from what I know of MD pay. This looks more like ED comp
Oh really? I mean this is CCB in areas like TX OH DE IL states. What I see for ED levels is much lower like 180 + 25% bonus
MD is on avg in the 500k. Depends a lot in your line of business, and the PnL that you manage (aka budget). If it is in seattle i would assume is cloud or cyber oriented, so it is def avg or above that number. If you share more details i can help. Also be aware that JPMC is cash heavy, so prob your comp will be 50% base 30% cash 20% stocks.
If it’s $500K it won’t be that big of a jump in salary despite significant jump in title.
What comparable role for back office MD in FAANGs in terms of TCs? Director? How many MDs are in JP Morgan? a few thousand?
You’re getting an interview for an MD role with only 10 YoE? Lol
Probably a diversity interview - new thing coming from OC down
dont be a dick. Believe in people qualities!
Jamie is all about diversity now.
Did you get an offer? What was the compensation?
