I have never cared about someone else’s vaccination status. I operate on the assumption that most are unhygienic and the pandemic is evidence of it. I’ll continue to do what I need to do to take care of myself and let others do the same. With that being said, “We’ve got over 100 million riders and drivers…” This is the reason Uber is not requiring the vax for its drivers. That number directly correlates to profit. There’s a cost associated with tracking and maintaining accurate records of vax status for 100 million people, where I’d guess attrition is high. It would also cost in a potential loss of drivers due to those who are hesitant/refuse to vaccinate or those who lack access. (Access is one of the number one obstacles for workers with several jobs - like Uber drivers.) This is a money decision for Uber and frankly it’s not the last money decision we’re going to see in a country where money has ALWAYS been prioritized over our health. Lol People are not afraid of these mandates because they are not as easily enforceable as many like to think.

It's been 1.5 years since this all started. If the driver have had an infection, they're already just as immune, if not more, as anyone who's had the vaccine. It doesn't sound like you believe in science if you want a vaccinated driver only.
Ok naturally immune is also ok for 3-6 months of he has an antibody test. Lightly sick might not have protection, and i know personally people who catched covid 2nd time after being lightly sick first time

As a vaccinated person, I don't care if the driver is vaccinated or not. They shouldn't be forced or coerced to do so. I believe that my vaccination will keep me safe from COVID, and if I wanted to be extra safe, I could wear a mask as well. The driver's choices are none of my business.

Kids get virtually no side effects from COVID. You're overblowing the whole thing. What's the likelihood of kids having any adverse effects from COVID? Isn't it about the same as the chance of side effects from the vaccine for adults? Or even much lower? And then you think it's the antivaxers that are the problem?

I thought uber drivers were not employees so the company can't force them or discriminate against them for not being vaccinated.... that would be like wanting to order only ubers driven by white guys with penises under 3 inches. I believe that's illegal.
Idea i offer just let customers know vax status of a driver(if driver voluntary reported it) and choose if that matters by having two buttons: order any ride and order vax ride
