Trying to get a list of companies and their apprx salaries for senior dev roles in and around la and Orange County . Trying to rank companies based on pay πŸ’°. Basically any FAANG field office you can find will stay pay FAANG salaries and stock. Other than that LA has a lower cost of labor than Seattle when it comes to SWE, note I said cost of LABOR, not living, so most companies pay less. You can definitely make a career for yourself out there if you go the dev -> business side path, the lines start to blur if you really want to stay in LA and continue to push your career up. If you want to be a pure SWE IC and grow your career then you need to be in Seattle or SV. Alternatively, if you're looking for rest and vest Senior SWE positions then FAANG offices in LA are prob your best bet. Maybe Disney too if you're interested in that.

LA has terrible tech presence. I moved here from NYC and it's not the same. I love LA more than NYC though, I've lived in NYC my whole life. Trying to go to Austin now though get DAT APPRECIATION for the houses and get some rentals spread out across 'Murica, I think that's my plan anyway.
