Modi's hate speeches.
I have a few friends in the San Antonio and VA area that keep telling me data center roles are seeing base pays of $200k+ Their info is also second-hand from people who they supposedly trust. I already work in a SCIF, a SCIF is a SCIF. I can't find any info on Oracle's clearance bonus, if there even is one. AWS currently pays $50k at L4 and $60k at L5 for a FSP. Tl;dr - is AWS ripping me off and should I go to Oracle to chase dollars. Can anyone at Oracle confirm? Base: 115 #oracle #clearance
Unable to confirm, but can confirm that working in a SCIF sucks but have fun with that.
$30k, but you dont always get it. Can take years to get it. Know people on my team that do scif work. Also work sucks. Tier 2 support. No skills
Can you elaborate please? What do you mean you don't always get it? I'm assuming the $30k is for being fully cleared? I wouldn't even take a job anywhere if they weren't paying out for me holding a clearance.
If you are already at oracle and you get a clearance, you dont always get the money. It has to ve approved by CEO office and they often ghost indefinitely. Maybe get it a year later. Maybe never.
Not sure about data center - I’m a SDM with OCI working in Austin for the join army futures command (M3) level and my base is only 190. TC with RSU is 280 - right now 310 with stock growth - 50k bonus and then 20 ts/sci with fullscope bonus
The bonus is less than aws for FSP within OCI. It's also a fixed number. However an IC2 gets paid more in base than you. Thus far the best place I've found for clearance bonus is MSFT where you get 20% of your base, however their base has been historically lower than the rest
This post needs more TLAs.
If you aren't taking acronym soup are you either in tech or a fortune 500? /s
If your numbers are accurate the FSP comp at aws is definitively more than oracle. Case closed.
DM for accurate info. Summary: dif bonuses for dif levels; only 1/2 for managers.
It’s possible depending on your level. I know there’s IC-2s at $175k base and 45k/yr clearance bonus. I’m sure they get some level of RSU as well
My teammate turned down an offer recently. It was IC3 250TC + 25k for FSP. I don’t know that these numbers are accurate as I know someone personally getting 40k for their FSP at Oracle. Either way, I think AWS pay is much better.
Why would STRIVR require clearance
