Keeping Slack online when you are away from laptop
So I used to keep a YouTube video playing while I'm away from keyboard, but it only stays green for 30min. Then I open the mobile app once in a while and that does the trick. But now, I noticed if I'm physically far away, it will no longer keep the online status after 30min, even with YouTube playing! They patched that bug, bummer 🙁 😛 So what's your trick? Or even better, Slack folks - how are you keeping it green? #tech #slack #wfh
Why do you care about online status? Just keep it offline all the time

I do the opposite, keep it "away" all the time. Why should everyone see when I'm at the keyboard?
Open excel sheet, select a few cells, keep something heavy on the tab button. Will keep you online. - Tips from someone who worked on Deloitte.
Zoom meeting and lock it
Yeah thought about trying that, although it'll probably be like YouTube video, away after 30min - unless Zoom has some better keep-alive mechanism for laptop than browser. Really would like to see Slack's logic on away detection 😂
What, we patched this?? I'm always online even if I head out for a walk. This is one of the reasons I prefer Slack over Teams.
Mouse jiggler? Or some js to keep toggling the chat box focus
