Laid off from Accenture strategy & consulting

With peak performance in the company for two years and successfully delivering 3 projects, I was still laid off. Why was I chosen? They didn't have a clear answer. Was in line for a promotion. They pointed out my performance issue, while saying the client has complained, but with no proof whatsoever. Speaking to Leadership I got to know they are calling it a market problem that it's happening across the company, 33 people of the parallel team has been silently fired, but they are still hiring like crazy. I said then don't defame the people you want to let go by saying they performed poorly. Say clearly that the market conditions are bad hence this choice. Going through tough time, emotionally and physically. Had a lot of expectations from this company being such a huge brand turning out to be horse manure.
