Current TC $190kish Pre-IPO $ / $190k &10k more paper MSFT $160k (first offer) Boss seems to have lined up my replacement but says it’s to “expand department.” Has a bias toward me because of my college degree IMO. Really like the company I work for, and the people, but boss has blocked promotion for others, they are late on projects, late to meetings, gaslights. They came from a different industry and seem to be having trouble understanding technical issues; my guess is they are less than 1 year from full benefit retirement age. The boss is personal friends with skip manager. Awkward. I’m trying to decide my next steps. Do I: 1. Try to stay and enjoy, nice coworkers, pray for a reorganization or retirement. Look for job if I get pushed out. 2. Take slightly higher comp at start up, new boss seems 👍 and would learn some new tech. 3. Get myself into MSFT with lower comp, but a “name” on resume, and interesting work. Not sure of boss match yet.
Negotiate and if they don't at least offer you 180 dip

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Set up a poll. 🥜 on resume doesn’t look good
MSFT looks bad on resume?
Not bad. MSFT pays you less than what you’re getting. Splunk name is good enough to land any top companies imo
