is the email even legit lol?
Bingo.
Wouldn't jumping on trends net a higher layoff %
But always be applying to counter the higher layoffs
It’s crazy to think “I’m going to do nothing, my boss can’t lay me off” was ever a thing lmao Seems like a lot of people don’t have confidence in the skills they think they have?
It’s complacency. Some people have families and don’t like the prospect of job hopping. Also if you’re in a good position, why look for the zit?
Complacency is accurate. If you have a family, isn’t it even MORE important that your skillset stays relevant so that you aren’t made redundant?
Or just work behind the Wendy's dumpster for 270k TC
I told you to stop selling options from the dumpster during your break.
I’ll a daves double CALL expiration dec 15, strike $6
The era of “do nothing” is over; we can now welcome the era of “actively sabotage your coworkers to avoid layoffs”.
Amazon is simply 10y ahead. Bezos is a true visionary.
lol this
Layoffs at most companies are not performance based. Middle management has 0 input into it and can get laid off themselves. My coworker who was the top performer on the team got laid off. Manager found out on the same day
I mean that’s just stupid. When 3M did layoffs they asked the managers for input on who they would let go
Usually the manager has 0 input, this has been my experience as a manager have to layoff a few times in the past.
This is going to increase in-flighting and toxicity at all levels especially with your managers who would sabotage your career to save themselves at all costs. Not a healthy environment overall.
"do nothing, the boss can't fire me" said absolutely no employee ever. Wtf is this stupid article.
You work at Microsoft. There is no way you’ve never seen this kind of slacking lol
I joined Microsoft from Amazon and honestly people are forced to work much harder at MSFT for less gain. And it’s only gotten worse with “do more with less”. That was meant to help our customers, but it’s what working at Microsoft feels like this days. Having said that there are probably armies of corporate people that are pushing paperclips around.
