Is Etsy a good place to work at? How is WLB and compensation? I’m still early in my career and considering a role at Etsy. Have to escape Chase at this point. YOE: 2 Total comp:$115 #engineering #software #swe
I know Chase UXR in the midwest (OH) who are getting paid $140k+. How are you getting paid $115k? (Assuming you have a technical role)
DM for Discover Financial Services referral for software roles. Dunno much about compensation, but I think it is better than JPMC. great WLB and flexible/ remote options.
Wlb is generally really good. People are really nice. Compensation is more or less competitive. My offer for 1.2 yoe was 210k~.
IC2? Do you think this is a standard offer for someone with 1.2 yoe?
I negotiated slightly but I think 200k seems standard based on the couple of data points I have
Wlb is great. Compensation could be better, but I find the work we do engaging enough to make up for it
What’s wrong with chase?
So many things lol
Very low comp; forced return to the office; very high attrition rate - literally no senior engineers left within my org. As a junior, I have to do it all: be the tester, the architect, the coder. There’s no one left that I could reach out for guidance when I need it. And so much more!
