Can anyone please tell what is the typical TC for L4 (Staff Electrical Engineer/CPE) at Lockheed? I have an interview that I am very confident about. But I want to make sure this will be a good fit for me salary wise. Location is Littleton, CO for space. Currently I am in the midwest, low COL. 130K + 5K bonus. 10YOE. Should I also try for L5? Or L4 is what I should expect? #lockheed #lockheedcompensation #lockheedmartin #lockheedsalary #lockheedoffer #boeing #northropgrumman
I know I’m late here, but you should always try for as high. A salary as you can in the lowest possible position. There are a few reasons for this. 1) you have a promotion opportunity, which means a promotion raise 2) you come in with lower expectations, therefor performing well will look better as a lower level. Ie, if you can get the salary you want, you’d be better off as an L4. If you are an amazing performer, you’ll get promoted sooner and now you’ll make more money. If you came in with the same salary as an L5, you’ll not only not have a promotion opportunity for a long time, there will be higher expectations of you.
Thanks much. That's a really good perspective that I never thought of. They will be making an offer this week. So let's see what they offer.

Thank you AAPL and NVDA
I'm guessing the offer would be around $130-140K. They typically offer a relocation package depending on the role as well. Cost of living in the Denver area is higher than what you're used to so it may effectively be a paycut
That is what I was afraid of. How much is the typical bonus % for L4? Also is L4 right for 10YoE? Or should I try for L5? Can you negotiate with the recruiter for level and salary?
Bonus for L4s averages around 5% depending on your performance rating (although they're changing the formula this year so we'll see what happens). I'd say L4 is about right for 10 yoe, although I've seen people get L5s with 10 yoe. Its probably worth a try, especially if you have a masters degree or some specialized knowledge relevant to the job. I've heard that the recruiters don't budge much on salary unless it's for a really hard to fill role. I'd definitely bring it up if it's not significantly more than you're currently making though.
