I’ve got a 100k offer from a big 4 Deloitte as an analyst and a 70k offer from HCL as a software engineer. I was told both roles are technical but people I’ve talked to says Deloitte analyst role won’t be all that technical. Is it worth getting the lower comp now if it provides more technical billet points on resume later?
tech! you can leetcode and change companies later
Always choose higher TC, early in your career. You can always twist some facts about your experience and do tech interview prep on side to get the next role.
Nope. Hands on tech experience will make finding the next job you actually want easier.
is HCL actually tech? I heard they are just a visa shop
I’m doing an internship with em and it’s been nothing but backend training so far. The tech lead is definitely in India tho since he never responds back during normal hours.
Given these two, I’d pick Deloitte considering the reputation and salary. You can always change jobs later if you like

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
Neither. They both have 0 CV value and you will find a soul crushing, tedious job with mininal learning. Find a start up
So startup with lower comp > Hcl or Deloitte at higher comp?
Yes, cause start up has some learning which will lead to higher TC in future. Also start ups can give close to those numbers. Just negotiate
