Recently joined a new team and my manager had a tragic accident. He was a very good man and I am extremely upset that something like this had happened. Just makes me realize how unfair and unpredictable life is. We all continue to work as if nothing had happened. Just hate the fact about how desensitized we as humans have become esp in the Corp world. Anyone faced a similar situation? How did you cope up with it? TC: 200k/year

So sorry for your loss, OP. That is truly awful for anyone to deal with. I would encourage you to talk to a grief counselor if the company has made one available. If not, it would be well worth your money to find one on your own dime. And finally I would take it as a bad sign if in fact the company or your team hasn’t created space and resources to help folks deal with this tragic loss. Start making plans to leave if that’s the case. You’ll get through this!
Dang.. sorry to hear. It’s definitely sobering knowing that everything can end in a split second.
While I hated working in retail long ago, a team lead died in an accident and the managers let almost the whole store go to the funeral, with employees from other stores coming to fill in. It was very sad, he was engaged and seeing his fiancé was heartbreaking. I think it would be pretty disrespectful not to at least have some group remembrance of the manager who passed away, even if the company couldn’t afford to allow time off.
Sorry about the loss. But why did you put TC in the post?
So sorry, OP. It's wonderful that you realize what is truly important.
Condolences ❤️

RIP, take days off & have counselling. You need to take out grief from your body so you again feel good.
Sounds like a crappy place to work. Take time off to process losing a friend and life coach. Speak with a counselor, see if your company will pay for grief counseling for your team. Sorry to hear this, just know that it gets easier day by day but you need to just let yourself feel.
What else is everyone supposed to do?
What do you mean Intel?
