Does a MS in US really helpful for growth in career in tech companies? I mean, for leadership positions like Director/Manager in companies? A simple Bachelors I feels like a little underwhelming as opposed to those who have a Masters degree.
I agree with earlier post, Masters help you when switching jobs and getting standing, besides that it is always politics and how much you manage-up and suck-up!
Totally agreed .. it's all politics as u rise higher
It’s not worth it (I have a MS degree from US university).

On top of everything said, there are companies who reimburse as yearly benefit for higher education (Microsoft covers 10k each year which is like 70% of total cost). If that’s the case in your company it’s a good benefit just for the sake of experience while learning. There are part time options for working people in good universities like UW for masters and MBA.
Useful if you are not American. Helps to socialize and get rid of your accent. Wouldn’t consider it you are 25+ yo unless you want to pursue academic career.
Masters in US is not worth it if you already have a bachelors degree from a US university. I can’t speak for Google/Fb, but I have never really applied any knowledge I gained in Masters directly into my work at Amazon. Maybe a few ML/NLU teams (applied scientist roles) require Masters or even a Phd.
Not worthy. I studied harder subjects and took tougher tests back home than here. Wasted 2 years and 35k
MSCS programs are cash cows that take advantage of immigrants who need H-1B visas and green card sponsorship. I don't see any evidence that they're actually useful for convincing other people in tech that you're competent.

Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Ideally yes but in reality no. People who rise up in management usually have degrees in random shit from no name schools, they are just good at playing the game of politics. Getting an MS won’t teach you howto hustle people.
