Any McAfee employees here on Blind? I’m considering accepting a job offer there and just curious about how healthy the office culture is. I’d appreciate any intel! 🙏🏻
They aren't part of Intel anymore so not sure how much intel you'll get
It's remote first so not much in the way of actual office culture. That said, everyone is very friendly/open and I have nothing but good things to say. It is a company in transition so only time will tell.
I stayed at McAfee for 5 months. There is no real innovation there anymore. It is just a cashcow for management. Recently they sold their B2B division to another company which is known by the name of Trellix. My experience was horrible. I was in Insights team and I saw all kinds of grey practices and harassment happening there with other folks. Also the director Avnish Tyagi himself left the company and ran away to Cisco.
Watch the documentary on the guy first. I would not work there
He's a nut job, but not been a part of the company for a long time. I doubt there are any vestiges that remain.
Regardless if he’s still associated the company literally installed spyware on peoples computers under the premise of security. I would not want to work for a company like that
