I have kid under 1 year old. I’m wondering if I should choose PPO or Kaiser HMO. I think Kaiser covers much better: only copay. The downside is you can only see Kaiser doctors. I also heard it’s difficult to see specialty? The other option I’m looking at is high deductibles/PPO, but the problem is it typically has 10% co-insurance, which can be a lot if I bring my kid to ER. I’d like to see what people choose for situations like mine.
Kaiser doctors are not a downside. You get shut out of kaiser with a ppo
HMO IMO! Kids are prone to falling sick especially when they start going to the day care. PPO will be cheaper but having an HMO will be more peace of mind

In my experience, Kaiser is awesome for physical health and kinda shitty for mental health. If you plan on doing solid preventative care then they’re hella cheap. It can take time to see specialists, but I haven’t had too much trouble.
