Message from Google APAC
I got a message from a recruiter from Google APAC on LinkedIn. They want to talk about my background and career aspirations and also possible opportunities as software engineer. Booked a slot for a Hangouts call, what can I expect?
Expect a very casual chat about the things they mentioned. They'll also likely tell you the team (product, not HM) they're hiring for. Apart from this, they'll do a trivia of 6-7 questions. I chose Python. Examples: What is immutable List or Tuple, Complexity of Bubble Sort / Merge Sort, Basic math questions. I got 6 out of 7 right, but I don't know what the threshold for rejection is.
