Is Meta actively hiring contractors? I have been contacted by a recruiter from a staffing agency for a position at Meta as an SWE.
Even if it's hiring, it would be an unpredictable opening. Instead look for something more stable
Was just messaged by an agency for a req at Metabook that was exactly my friend’s role whom he had just been laid off for, with the rate being an abysmal 70/hr expecting a mid to senior level SWE for a year long contract. No benefits. No equity. What a joke.
If you can prove it file a complaint with the government, pretty sure this is illegal
In this economy, a contracting gig is better than no money coming in. Take it and keep actively interviewing until you find the right role!
Can you please help understand how to get contracting job? Impacted by layoffs so actively searching.
I believe that all of the tech giants are still hiring. Just in fewer departments.
