Why is this sudden drop in the Meta stock despite good earnings? Will be joining next week but thinking if I should push the start date to May and get the stock price average of April? #meta
Lol push your date to 2030
No need to push that far. Just wait till stock drops another 20% in May, hiring is frozen again and offers are rescinded (again). The lizard in chief will take responsibility.
Your offer will be retracted
What if it drops further in May π
Still better than people who joined in Feb-Apr. Their grant price is probably $500+
Start in May if that's an option
Play the long game. Meta literally missed revenue guidance by about 1% at the midpoint. Their problem is metaverse spending, which is fixable . It's an overaction from stock market. It would likely be up significantly if you look back two to three quarters from now
Marc is thinking again on years of efficiency π
Wont make much difference in big scheme.. you are talking about 4 days of stock drop in a month and average wont change by much. Stock market can go down further and there is huge chance..and we all are just headcount which can be evicted anytime to improve bottom line..
Lol join when stock price is low and get wealy with stock appreciation
Dont join
Why do you say this?
i saw this pattern in 2022. Stock $$ drop -> layoff. And I saw many new hires including boot campers were the ones let go first (among many others). amazon seems more stable?
Shit.. I saw this in 2022
