Probably but it’s like TSLA. Don’t bet against them or you’ll get burned.
Well if FB hardware ever becomes profitable, you will see stock skyrocket. Its insanely hard to profit off pure hardware. If NVDA starts charging for every transaction on its asic, like FB charges for that Advertisement pop up then your perspective will change.
You're not missing anything. The market doesn't accurately reflect reality at this point.
See Intel revenue? NVIDIA is going after it. Its a much bigger growth opportunity
How is this true? Intel is CPU, nvidia is GPU lol. The data center market is where they compete and sometimes push out intel by making them buy a chip for AI workloads along with a cheaper intel CPU
+intels data center revenue is 20-25B I believe, where they compete with them in a smaller subset. In fact intels new GPUs could take market share in the lower end of the gaming market
Stock market is future looking .
Nvidia is living large from crypto miners. Once crypto crashes, nvidia will have no demand as freed mining cards flood the market.
Over 100 companies are building training and inference chips including goog, msft, amzn (major cloud providers). The future is bright till market has a lot of competition.
isnt the latest supercomputer at fb chockful of gpus ? https://ai.facebook.com/blog/ai-rsc
Sucks for nvidia when fb decides to design their own gpus, just like all the other fabless makers.
well, tesla has a supercomputer chockfulla gpus also.. https://electrek.co/2021/06/21/tesla-unveils-new-supercomputer-train-self-driving-ai/ and they have a in-house dojo chip effort, lets see where that goes (https://semianalysis.com/the-tesla-dojo-chip-is-impressive-but-there-are-some-major-technical-issues/).. such efforts are not like building a web-service-backend over the weekend and scaling that on monday with a loadbalancer in front..
Wish it was so easy to make gpus. Especially fb amidst all the other stuff they need to address. After all the efforts for 4 years intel finally has something out which is commendable..but I don't think it will match up to anything more thab mid perf nvda cards atleast for nxt 2 years
Doesn’t need to the top end to impact nvidia. Intel isn’t constrained by the limited fab capacity in the world. They will flood the market, in a couple years with best in class gpus, while nvidia is still waiting in tsmc’s line.
I wish that were true, mr googler.
meta got whacked so hard
