It’s 🥜, not really a game-changer.
It’s a pay cut vs inflation. Was hoping for 9%+ just to break even. This is 🥜 and just confirmed for a lot of us to go ahead and accept interviews and offers. Got a 18% increase offer from Atlassian that I wasn’t truly considering until today. Thanks for making the decision easy Satya.
Did they increase base salary or stock awards, or both? In all the years I worked there, stock awards were the biggest issue for me
It's just a hoax
‘Nearly doubled merit increase budget’ and ‘25% added to stock award range’ - so real numbers, if you got 3% merit last year, maybe 5% this year and stock awards for me now go from 0-80k. Last year they went 0-60k and I received 30k (vested over 5 years), so this year probably 40k? All in all it won’t even cover inflation.
What level are you? What was your performance evaluation for the 30k grant?
30k refresher, sounds like L65
I called BS for your l63 45K refreshers. Before this change l63 max refresher is 44k.
Lol that’s not BS. But, it’s for Bay Area though
MSFT friends, come to Okta to enjoy our current stock discount. Staff SE (l63-64) initial offer 280k-350k refresher 80k-120k vesting over 4 years(NOT 5), Principal SE (l65-66) initial 350k-450k, refresher 100k-180k.
Any mid level infra eng roles?
Any openings in India okta?
I worked with a lot of bright people there. I hope they finally get paid what they deserve. Can't wait to hear what the numbers are later this year out of curiosity. Still no free food though.
