Microsoft Hiring Event/Talent Pool
I interviewed on 4/16 for a hiring event in Azure and was told on 4/18 that my feedback was positive but the team that primarily interviewed me didn't have a match for me. Recruiter informed me they'll be circulating my packet around to try and match me with a team. How good of a chance does one have of coming out of talent pool and getting an offer? Is the best thing to do to just reach out to friends/connections at MSFT and see if they have open positions in their orgs/find managers on LinkedIn and see if they want me? YOE: 2.5 TC: 0 #microsoft #msft
@maxray I also interviewed on 16th at hiring event but recruiter said they’ll get back to me by end of this week. any idea what must be going on?
The recruiters are slow. I’d be a little patient. Also some candidates get marked as “50/50” and hiring managers are sent a separate list of those people so they could be “keeping you warm” but not desperate to snag you if that makes sense.

I also did this event for Azure. Haven’t heard back yet. My last interview was on a different day though, so that may be why. Surprisingly I was asked 2 design questions and I only have 2.5 YOE. How were yours structured?

i gave on 16th and mine interviews were mostly from Azure SRE

Late March Hiring event was both SWE1/SWE2, believe I passed bar for SWE1
Ohh Cool. Congrats bro. I have been reached out by a recruiter. She sent me a questionnaire form and a position to apply which I did. But I have not yet received the OA which she told that she will send. Any idea how much time does it take to send the OA. I had the call with recruiter last week on Monday.

I received the OA 3 days after submitting. My final interview was on 4/18. I passed 3 questions out of the 4

Was this a cleared event?
Not cleared, just a 60/61 hiring event in Azure
Typically for these events, lists of candidates get sent out to hiring managers with a link to the resume and interview feedback and we can schedule to reach out to the individual. I recently hired someone this way, they had already cleared a full loop and I had a 45 minute casual chat with them before extending an offer.
