Hi blind fam, I’m about to go on a third date with someone who suggested we do something special for it, and we’re thinking of a weekend long date where we travel somewhere. Since it’s pretty short, we’re thinking of the Midwest, since we wouldn’t normally go there. Baseball is on, so that’s one activity. We’re thinking Chicago as the obvious choice of city because of the cultural scene, sports scene, and food scene. Thoughts on other cities we should seriously consider and why? If you think Chicago is a good choice, can you suggest activities an athletic couple might enjoy? We like being active in the day, a little downtime with theater/standup/music, and good food. It’s probably too late to swing reservations at the famous michelin restaurants but would be grateful for suggestions for the next tier, that might have availability a week out.
What's your intentions with this girl? She seems to be from a decent family. You should reserve these activities after committing to a relationship with her.
Chicago is great choice and this is the best weather to visit, and you can drive to Madison,Wisconsin from there. Plenty of lake activities (Lake Michigan) and young college people around. Tennessee has good options of national parks and Music , really fun state to be for travel.
Thanks! While we are in our 30s, having the young energy around is great :) Any specific places you love in Chicago for date night?
From Chicago, look around Lake view east or park west for dinner/ good food/ good vibes mostly around 25-35 y.o couples hang around there . Pasta bowl is my favorite and my gf loves it too-Good for casual dinner Great sushi/ Italian restaurants around that area for 3rd date level ambiance
