Companies that pay as much as meta
My wife and I got married 3 months ago in India. It was an arranged marriage. She works for a tech company in sf as well. Unfortunately her temperament isn’t the right match for me. She has a good job, her tc is 70% of mine. I own a house and have a strong bank balance before my wedding. As of now my wife just pays me extra money in form of rent and I pay my mortgage separately. If I decide to divorce her then will the house and bank balance be my own since it isn’t community property? How does the money get split in this case?
50 50 it will be simple divorce. All assets split but you have to live separate for arou d 1 year before divorce is finalized. MYbe look into annulment?
You didn’t answer my question about separate property vs community property. AFAIK the separate property doesn’t get split in divorce just the community property.
I am not an Indian. Surprised. And sorry to hear that. So you just married for 3 months and you could lose your 25% of your asset?? No prenup?
It depends on the state. If you brought it into the marriage and you never put her name on it it’s yours. Go get a good attorney.
It depends on the state. Some state will say it is 50/50 even if acquired by yourself before mariage.
Get a fkn lawyer.

It’s time people stop with this arranged marriage bs
100 years ago was the time to stop. It is baffling why highly educated people still do this.
Yes. Because marriages in the US never end in divorce.
Didn’t you ask this yesterday?
How come all of these devs suck at interpersonal relationships? That’s a better question
Arranged marriage...
There are consequences!
LOL bruh Sorry my man, it's 50-50 in most states. If you want real advice DM me. Good luck though, it's a shit show
90/10 for the guy
Wrong, 75/25 for the girl, if no kids . 90/10 otherwise. Source - been there, happened to me.
Is this also for the separate property that I acquired before my marriage? Or only for community property? Also she also has a job, will she also have to split her income with me?
