I had a recruiter contact me for a position as a Senior Software Engineer in the Engineering Corps in Spain. I have zero reference about the potential salary range for this position. I know salaries in Spain are lower than in the rest of the West but I don't know if that's also true for Big Tech. Anyone here employed at MongoDB in Spain can give me some guidance? Thanks #engineering #mongodb #mongo #spain #salary
60-70 in Madrid or Barcelona. In other big cities, 40-50. It really depends on whether you will be working for a big or small company, startup or traditional company, customer or consultant.
Ask your recruiter if you pass the interview. My guesstimate is for 90-110k for MongoDB. If you say 60k, they will gladly take up your offer.
I got an offer from them, 100k+ for Senior Frontend Engineer. Culture look really great tho

Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
40k before tax at most, if in Madrid or Barcelona
For a senior? Damn, Spain is already behind most of Eastern Europe too haha
Yes for senior, keep in mind that in Spain, a person making €1k net salary a month is considered to be well off, 40k before tax will put you above 2k, but can't even compare to other countries that pay much better.
