Move from Micron to Samsung
Is the move from Micron, Boise to Samsung, San Jose worth it. Moving from NAND to DRAM. Any recommendations on negotiations?
A raise like that may seem appealing but just remember that with the cost of living difference between Boise and San Jose, you are going from a big fish in a small pond to a shrimp in the ocean.

Remember that average US salary is $53k, and there are guys destroying their bodies every day in roofing and construction and other such jobs for less than that. So we should have some perspective about how bloated tech salaries are across the board.

Your micron pay is much much higher than samsung. You need atleast 2.5x so >300K
Stay away from Samsung and save your mental health
Unless you love Boise and quiet/nature, you should enjoy San Jose much better imo. And the proximity to opportunity in Silicon Valley is unmatched.
