Brother beaten severely as a kid. Doesn’t speak to dad at all now.
Avoid Arpin Van Lines. I just had a very frustrating experience with them. Very unprofessional. Cancelled walk through at time of appointment then drastically overestimated weight and had to schedule a second estimate. And it went downhill from there
If you just got a car and a few boxes, why not just rent a uhaul and do it yourself?
I used Atlas Van Lines to move from FL to CA. Never again. They held my stuff hostage for a few days because “they didn’t have staff” to move it in (holiday weekend, even though they knew that from their schedule), charged for an extra truck and transfer because the main truck was too large to get to the destination (even though they had a rep visit and said it was fine), and worst of all damaged the roof of my car (it was strapped into the same truck as the moving gear - don’t do that and use a dedicated car transporter). If you don’t have much, then use a dedicated car transporter and use FedEx ground for the boxes.
