What are some negotiating tips during offer stage ? What’s reasonable amount of money to ask for additionally without pissing off the hiring manager ?
Tip #1: use the offer to get a better offer at a better company Tip#2: see tip 1
I don’t have another offer. I’m def going to accept the Amazon offer just trying to ask for a little more $

Depends
See how much similar positions are paid in recent times (2-6 months I'm the past). Based on that and how your interviews went, say your ask. Amazon can definitely match ant other company out there if you can say you're a top hire. For eg. If your interviews went great, you can ask 80%+ of what max salary you see on other platforms for various companies at a similar position.
Thanks. It sounds like my role can go up to 350k, I was offered 300k. So I’m planning on asking for 40-50k more. Not sure how common that is
Just say you are looking for $350 total comp then. Recruiter isn’t going to be upset, they just want to close you. Don’t expect it to be cash though. Stock or sign on bonus is where they will put it. They have the most room to be creative with the sign on bonus.
Thanks. Yeah I obviously prefer higher base but was gonna just leave it to them to break it out however. Do you think it matters if I phrase it as “$350k TC” or asking for “$50k more”? Just thought perhaps the latter may help soften the blow.
OP - did they gave you what you had asked for? Also, how did you ask?
