Hi, using my resources here because the job description says the range for senior manager role in the advertising team is 200k to 700k. What is a good number to throw out in case they ask? (Poll made but please comment a number you would give too) TC: 260k YOE: 16 #tech #netflix #faang #techsalaries #salary #netflixjob
From what I read, Netflix doesn’t really low ball. But their work culture is no bs and little forgiveness
I know someone who works at Netflix as a senior manager and he said that he makes 550k
Technical or Non Tech role?
Senior eng (E5 equivalent) make like 500-600k so senior manager should be one band above that. 700k minimum if in tech IMO.
It’s non tech advertising org/team any revised thoughts ?
Assuming you get an offer, the conversation will go something like this: Recruiter: what are your salary expectations? You: (throw out number or expectations or whatever) Recruiter: how did you arrive at that number? You: (back it up) If you have read our culture memo (and if you haven't, you either aren't being considered for the role yet or aren't a culture match), you will see we pay "personal top of market." What this means is we will pay you what we think you are worth for the role in question. If you can back up your ask and it is reasonable for the role, we will meet or exceed it. If you can't, you won't get it. Salary negotiation here is a reflection of the culture. Whatever you ask for, be prepared to back it up and support your position.
Former Netflix Sr. Manager (non-tech) TC was $320k
What org ?
Marketing
Probably like 550-600 if in engineering
Do you mind sharing an update on what the range was?
Would you mind providing an update on what the salary was for this Sr. Marketing Manager role and if it’s a people manager or IC position. Thanks

Start at 700k and work down. Or ask them the realistic guaranteed pay range. I have a feeling 700k might be if you are 1% transformative doing L+2 work.
There ranges are so broad like does 200k to 700k only relate to the role or does 700k include technical roles
