The new Netflix interactive movie that was released gives options to users to choose like every fifteen minutes if the user doesn’t choose then the option is selected automatically by Netflix system. My question is whether Netflix chooses the options automatically based on some machine learning technique which kind of resonates with the user taste ?
fancy
They may have none-ml rules now, but certainly can be an ML problem if they acquire enough data from user(s). Continuous feedback from viewer, (if provided), can very well be formulated as an RL or bandit problem.
They’ve missed the whole fucking point of watching a movie. I don’t want to THINK while I’m watching movies. Decision fatigue is real. Also, now I can’t discuss movies with my friends because they probably have seen a different version and I don’t want to spoil it for them and neither do I want to hear spoilers from them.

Did you watch it? I won't ruin it for you but you should watch it before making a comment like this.
*spoiler alert* Did anyone manage to get this guy to not kill anybody?
Does himself count? If not then yes. I've almost exhausted all possibilities at this point lol.
With HLS/DASH interactive movie shouldn't be difficult to implement. Based on users choice direct them to different ts/fmp4 file. Interesting concept though. Bandersnatch was kind of fucked up, but I'm sure it'll be used in the future(with much less choices).
Netflix is so behind. Porn industry did this a decade ago with their interactive POV on a fucking CD.
It's a huge success already when everyone is talking about it. The content sucks or not is irrelevant
Yeah we can do it only once with garbage content like this, it’s not sustainable
I've been watching it but it never fucking ends. Should I continue chosing options until his sucker game succeeds?
When I watched it on my iPhone, my decision controls didn’t work at all until the LSD decision. I thought I was missing something, until I realized that the bottom buttons just weren’t appearing. Feels bad man
