Ways to reduce stress immediately
Hey everyone wanting to get some feedback on my plan to migrate to a devsecops or an appsec role here in the next six months. Currently I work as a security architect in the network security space have roughly 8+ YOE with all things route, switch, RA VPN, NGFW, SASE, IDS/IPS etc. I have deployed these solutions both on prem and in the cloud. I am seeing less and less opportunity in this field and also just don't care for it any longer. Recently I have been learning python and am doing various projects to bolster my coding skills I am at a point where most LC easys are very doable and am starting to tackle some mediums. I recently completed the AWS Architecture associate certificate and am now working on my terraform associate certificate which should be completed this month. After this I plan to do either the Practical Devsecops CDP course/certification or the Linux Foundation CKA and CKS next as I purchased these bundles on black friday (insane deal btw). With all that being said I have a few questions for anyone willing to help. 1. Does this seem like a good road map or is there something else I am missing or should be prioritizing? 2. Would the Practical DevSecOps course or the CKA be a quicker path into a DevSecOps role? 3. What level of roles should I be shooting for if I am new to this space but still have other security experience? 4. If you know of any companies hiring for these roles remotely or work in one of these roles remotely any advice would be greatly appreciated!
