Had a verbal discussion on numbers for Sr Manager/Director, Engineering Offer at Nike. The following was what I asked: YOE:14 yrs Location: Oregon Nike : Base - $240K -250K Bonus - 20% Sign On RSUs - ~$200K( I was told these vest over 3 years, which was a good surprise). Sign-On bonus - 20-30K Refreshers - $40K-50K/year Current TC: Base: $210K Bonus - 10-15% Refreshers - 60K -70K/year Thoughts? Fair offer? Currently, it's being worked on and numbers are being crunched and will get back to me but were not communicated as out of range or rejected. #engineering #software #nike #tech
Seems like a great offer vs your current comp. Nike is also a great company, go for it. The stock is not as good as you could get at a more high tech company, but seems inline with what I have heard for Nike. If I was you, I would push hard for the Director title.
Hey mEDU11, I am also being considered for a Senior Engineering Manager at Nike but for the San Francisco office. The above offer looks really good if it's for the Oregon region. Did Nike reach out to you with a lower or adjusted offer or just ghosted you?
Hey, yup, its for Oregon. I still feel I might have left ~20 grand in RSUs on the table but thats fine. I think I got almost max I can Cant heckle over that small of an amount in the bigger picture. What did they offer you?
Did you finally join? As I know these packages get ghosted for a friend recently
Yes. Joining next month. All formalities and pre-boarding done. They ended up upping the offer in RSUs in the final numbers but pretty satisfied with the overall number and role. It ended up being the head of engineering role for a division
How was the interview OP? I am getting some pings for a sr director role. Currently an SDM at amazon managing mgrs.
Depends on your current work duties versus the new one. Director vs Sr manager are two different roles unless if in both you have managers under you.
I will be managing managers.
