Hade one phone screen, 5 rounds of tech interviews + lunch interview. Post that had 3 more interviews on the phone with the HM, his HM and now (hopefully the last one) with the Senior Director tomorrow. Like wtf? I’ve no idea whether it’s for IC3 or IC4 position. Is it the same process throughout all the teams across Apple? Even for IC3 positions?
Apple has 7 rounds of interviews, which is the longest..
How long did it take, from on site to the 3 phone interviews?
2-3 weeks
My last phone screen was with senior director. Two onsites and 10+ conversations total across 2.5 months - sounds normal
I once had an interview with a tier 2 company. I first had one tech phone screen with a manager. Then onsite with 4 rounds (two interviewers each) then had a phone behavior screen with a Sr director who in charge of security. Then another onsite with 2 HM followed by another Sr Director. Very exhausted with the process and the offer is bs
OP, what's your yoe?
Meeting a director is a good sign. Doesn't guarantee an offer, but you don't meet one unless they're still considering you. Number of interviews depends on the org and team. Some of your interviewers may have been on the fence or had concerns, so they may have scheduled more interviews for additional feedback. Good luck!
