Nvidia vs Apple HW title mapping
What does IC5 at Nvidia map to at Apple? Does it match ICT5? Are they apples to apples? Forgive the pun Pay doesn't seem to indicate so. TC 380 #hardware #semiconductor

Which would mean ICT3 =NV IC4 That doesn't sound right. Can attest to both pay/responsibilities being higher at IC4 NV
Also almost impossible to get hired as ICT5 external to Apple. Apple usually promotes to ICT5 from within. There are some exceptions though if candidate is really good

I was hired at ICT5. Need to have right expertise, right experience, and an open job req that justifies it.
It doesn’t feel so hard to get ICT5 at Apple, although they gave me an ICT5 title with ICT4 pay….

There should be some overlap, ict4 overlaps with late ic4 and early ic5. i was offered ic5 2 years ago when I was ict4.
Meta E5 pay is at par or more than NVDA IC5
Getting hired as ICT5 is still easy than being promoted as IC5 @apple
But you don’t get the additional RSUs from a promotion if you come in at that level
Overall compensation will be high in getting hired vs promotion.
Isn’t Nvidia IC4 equivalent to Apple ICT4? At least that’s what levels.fyi says.
