Hi I'm interviewing for a senior engineer role at Bloomberg. The job is related to Bloomberg Terminal frontend. The interviewer did mention 24/7 oncall, the interval being every 2-3 months, and not get called often (🤔?). The interview went a bit overtime, so I didn't have chance to ask too much. I heard of Rapid but I'm okay with some internal/legacy stuff, as long as oncall and WLB are reasonable. I know oncall is team dependent, so I wonder how oncall looks like in terminal frontend dev teams (app, infra, etc.)? Current TC: 120k
OnCall is a thing at BB (unfortunately), basically engineers are only woken up in cases of emergency. So depending on what you are owning it can be extremely rare. And since OnCall is on rotation with your team, the interval is 2-3 months before it comes back to you. As a new joiner however u won't have to deal with OnCall for a while till you are familiar enough to be handling big issues with the system WLB is probably best in class
TC?

BBG is pretty chill from past blind posts.
