Paytm Group PM offer

Hi All, A friend of mine got an offer for Paytm Group PM role, in their service agent app team. He's a Sr. PM in Gojek with a major consumer facing product team (looking out because wants to work on something new). Current TC - 50 LPA fixed, no clear bonus percentage but makes around 7-8 lpa per year as bonuses/variable depending on organisation’s financial performance (YOE -8 years, ~5-6 years in product) Paytm offer- 63lpa fixed, 7lpa variable which is paid 75% in year 1 and 25% in year 2; joining bonus of 5lakhs to compensate the 6-7 lakh bonus he will miss in Gojek in April if he takes this offer (overall CTC for the year is made into 75lakhs but will effectively be 70 LPA next year onwards) There is of course the usual layoffs sword hanging in Gojek over his head(Gojek has been laying off people every quarter) Can current/ex-Paytm folks here help figure out basis their experience? - Does the TC offer seem fair for the level in Paytm? - How is the work culture at Paytm, especially in the product teams - Is work life balance ok/promoted? - How is the peer/leadership group? He doesn't want to join a workplace with the typical Indian startup culture of swearing, shouting when things don't go as planned - Any idea if the agent app is really a priority for the org right now?
