Deciding between two offers Plaid SDE1 180ktc @ 13b valuation Facebook E4 260ktc Feel like plaid kind of lowballed me with the leveling here. But the company seems awesome, and not sure if there’s lots of upside here? Looking for some help on deciding Yoe 2 current tc 150k
You’d really sacrifice 45% more $$$ and one of the most respected company names in the industry on your resume for “not sure if there lots of upside?” You’d fit right in at Plaid 🤣

FWIW, Plaid rescinded my tentative offer without discussion or explanation after I showed disappointment in their lowball offer. I showed them data suggesting my comp could be $X. I’ve just signed an offer for $X + 10%

Do E4 for one year and reinterview. Plaid should then match or significantly exceed your fb offer. And who knows, you might not one of the 40-50% awesome fb groups outta cbootgsmp and decide t stay
Agree with FB, as much as I'd like more eng to join Plaid. FB will teach you what works well (and poorly) at scale; on the money front, as bullish as I am on Plaid's growth, building a solid liquid nest egg will help a lot.
Or 3) Don’t go to either. Maybe Keep interviewing.
